About Me
About Me
I was born and raised in Beaver County and currently reside in Brighton Township with my husband, Scott, and our two children.
I received my B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 and my Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2011. In law school, I earned the CALI Award for Excellence as the top-scoring student in several courses, including Estates and Trusts. I was a member of the nationally-ranked Arbitration Team and was recognized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as a Certified Legal Intern, a distinction which allowed me to practice before the Court of Common Pleas and the United States Court of Appeals while pursuing my degree.
After my graduation, I was hired as an Associate at Neighborhood Legal Services Association, where I gained invaluable litigation experience and developed an interest in Juvenile Law and Elder Law. In 2014, I went into private practice to pursue those passions. I worked for two elder law and estate planning firms and served as a court-appointed attorney for parents and children in Dependency Court cases before forming the Law Office of Tiffany E. York, PLLC, in 2019.
As an experienced litigator, I have practiced in Magisterial Courts, Administrative Courts, and Courts of Common Pleas throughout Western Pennsylvania and before the Pennsylvania Superior Court. In addition to my private practice, I serve as the Juvenile Court Hearing Officer for the Court of Common Pleas of Beaver County, presiding over Juvenile Dependency and Delinquency hearings. I routinely serve as a trusted court-appointed attorney in cases involving incapacitated, elderly, and minor participants.
I am active in the legal community and in my local community. I am the Secretary of the Beaver County Bar Association, where I also serve on the Charitable Giving, Juvenile and Orphans’ Court committees. I am a member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, serving on its Children’s Rights Committee.
I belong to the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys. I serve as the President of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Center of Beaver County and as a Trustee of the Beaver Area School District Education Foundation.
